Privacy policy for “Fabrikon”

Overview

“Fabrikon” is a single-player building game. Your game progress is stored exclusively locally on your device. There is no user account, no login and no servers of my own – I myself do not collect or store any personal data.

Personal data is processed only in connection with two Google services: the optional rewarded advertising (Google AdMob) and the handling of in-app purchases (Google Play Billing). Both are described in detail below.

Data that stays on your device

The following data is stored exclusively locally on your device and is not read out or transmitted by me:

• Game progress: capital, factories, production quantities, stock levels and investors
• Upgrade levels of the machines, managers, shift supervisors and logistics
• Settings: sound and music
• Which in-app purchases have been made, so that the content remains unlocked

This data is deleted when you uninstall the app or delete the app data in the Android settings.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the contract of use).

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app integrates Google AdMob and shows rewarded video ads. These appear only when you choose them yourself for an in-game bonus – there are no banners, no ads at launch and no interruptions during play.

To deliver the ads and to prevent fraud, Google processes the following:

• the Android advertising ID of your device
• interactions with the ads (request, view, click)
• your approximate location, which Google derives from the IP address
• general device information (device type, operating system version, language)

Legal basis: Your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG. Before the first ad is delivered, the app asks for your consent via a Google dialogue. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future; this does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out up to that point.

How to stop the processing: via the privacy settings in the app (withdraw consent), by resetting or deleting the advertising ID in the Android settings under “Privacy → Ads”, or permanently via the in-app purchase “Remove ads” – after which no more ads are loaded.

Purchases

Optional in-app purchases (gems, boosts, managers, ad-free) are handled entirely via Google Play . The seller is Google Commerce Limited and payment is processed by Google; I receive no payment data such as account numbers or credit card details, only confirmation of whether a purchase was successful. Which purchases you have made is additionally recorded locally on your device so that the content remains unlocked.

Google services

For advertising and purchases, services of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) and Google LLC (USA) are used. Their use is governed by Google’s privacy policy.

Google also processes data on servers in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; by decision of 10 July 2023, the European Commission determined that certified companies ensure an adequate level of data protection. In addition, standard contractual clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR are in place.

Beyond the Google services mentioned, I use no other third-party SDKs . I do not create user profiles, I do not carry out any analytics of my own, and there is no automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. No personal data of children is knowingly collected. Persons under 16 can only give consent to advertising with the approval of their parents.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), as well as the right to withdraw consent given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority – in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR).

Data security

The data mentioned above is transmitted exclusively in encrypted form (HTTPS/TLS).

Changes

If the app is extended with features that process further data, I will update this policy and adjust the date above.
