Privacy policy – Tendly
This policy applies to the Android app Tendly (package ID
com.tendlyhabits.app). The website timobritz.de is covered by the
general privacy policy.
In short: there is no advertising, no analytics services and no tracking integrated into Tendly. Your habits, streaks and moods stay exclusively on your device. There is no user account and no server to which your entries would be transmitted. Only if you buy Premium does purchase information pass through Google Play and RevenueCat.

Data on your device
Everything you create in the app is stored locally in the app’s storage:
- habits, completions and streaks,
- mood entries,
- reminder times and holiday periods you have set,
- optionally your first name and your star sign (only for the greeting and the daily horoscope in the app – both voluntary and deletable at any time),
- app settings such as colour theme and haptic feedback.
This data does not leave your device and is transmitted neither to me nor to third parties. It is deleted when the app is uninstalled. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (provision of the functions you have requested).
Purchases (Tendly Premium)
Tendly is free to use. If you take out a subscription or make the one-off purchase, Google Play Billing handles the payment. To manage the subscription status and to restore purchases, I use RevenueCat, Inc. (1032 E Brandon Blvd #3003, Brandon, FL 33511, USA) as a processor.
In this context, a randomly generated, pseudonymous app identifier, technical data such as IP address, device type and operating system, and purchase information are processed – i.e. which product was bought, when, and whether the subscription is still running. I do not receive names, e-mail addresses or payment data; these remain with Google. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract). The transfer to the USA takes place on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Further information is available from Google and RevenueCat. You can cancel at any time in the subscription settings of your Google Play account.
Reminders
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device and triggered there. There are no push notifications via a server, and no data is transmitted for this purpose. You can revoke the notification permission at any time in the Android settings – the app then continues to work without reminders.
Contact form in the app
Via “Mehr → Schreib uns” (More → Write to us) you can send me a message. The app itself does not send anything: it opens your own e-mail app with a prepared text that you can still change before sending.
In the process, the e-mail address you entered, your message, a random ticket number, the app version and your subscription status (e.g. “Premium – Jährlich” (annual) or “Kostenlos” (free)) are transmitted so that I can help you more quickly. I use this information exclusively to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.
Data backup
When exporting, the app creates an encrypted backup file on your device. It is not transmitted to me – you decide yourself where to store it and whether to pass it on. It can only be restored via the app’s import function.
Sharing your streak
When you share your streak, the app creates the image on your device and passes it to the app you select in the share dialog. Nothing is transmitted to me in the process. What happens to the image afterwards is governed by the privacy policy of the app you have chosen.
No advertising, no tracking
Tendly contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics) and no cross-device tracking. No advertising IDs are read and no usage profiles are created.

Location, contacts, photos, camera and microphone are not used.

Children’s data
Tendly is not specifically aimed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (in North Rhine-Westphalia: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information).
As your content is only stored locally, you always have it in your own hands: delete individual habits, reset all data in the settings or uninstall the app. For questions about purchases, please contact Google Play support or me.
Changes
This policy will be updated when the app changes. The current version is always available at this address.
